Also, playing with other weapons against the weapons you like helps reinforce their weaknesses.

Never used friedes scythe myself, I have however, won every single PVP match (at least 10) against someone who is using it, and I am not really good at the game. Seems like a cool weapon, but it’s very easy to smack someone out of their weapon art and stagger them before they can get a swing in. It’s nice for roll catching though lol.
